Ginger Soy Marinade

  • Makes1 to 1 servings

Insanely good with steak, but also dynamite with chicken, pork or salmon.

  • 6 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1/4 cup vinegar, (rice or cider are best)

  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp chopped, peeled fresh ginger

  • 6 green onions, chopped

  • Combine the soy sauce, vinegar, onion, sesame oil and chopped ginger in the container of a blender or food processor. Blend until nearly smooth, scraping down the sides so that it blends evenly. Stir in the chopped green onions. Add meat and allow to marinate, refrigerated, for at least one hour, or as long as one day. Fish won't need more than an hour. Makes nough marinade for about 2 lb. (1 kg) meat or fish.
