Rushed mornings can be made simple with this protein-packed recipe. The quinoa cooks right in the Thermos.
1/4 cup uncooked quinoa
drizzle olive oil
1/2 cup boiling water
Calories 193, Protein 6g, Carbohydrates 27g, Fat 7g, Fibre 4g, Sodium 9mg.
Preheat Thermos for 10 min by filling with boiling water. Drain water and add all ingredients to Thermos. Secure lid. By lunchtime, quinoa will be cooked and fluffy. Tip: In a separate container, pack your kid’s favourite fresh or frozen veggies to add to the quinoa. Quickly defrost frozen veg before packing by placing a portion into a bowl and covering with boiling water for a few minutes (do it while you preheat the Thermos!).
