You can substitute chopped fresh apple or even grated carrot for the nuts in this yummy sandwich.
2 tbsp cream cheese
2 tbsp apple butter
2 tbsp coarsely chopped walnuts, almonds or cashews
bread, (your choice)
On one slice of whatever kind of bread you're using, spread a layer of cream cheese. On a second slice, spread some apple butter. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and slam shut.
