Chinese Five-Spice Marinade

- Makes1 to 1 servings
Both the hoisin sauce and five-spice powder can be found in Chinese grocery stores and in some large supermarkets. There's no real substitute for either, so if you can't find them, make another marinade instead. Great with pork or chicken - or use it to turn an ordinary hamburger into something extraordinary.
Ingredients
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1/4 cup dry sherry, or white wine
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp five-spice powder
2 garlic cloves, squished
Instructions
Stir together all the ingredients. Add meat and let marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
