Braised Beef Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • pinch ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups braised beef , from ragout
  • 1 tbsp chopped oregano
  • 1 tsp Worchestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 8 small corn tortillas

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp granulated sugar
  • pinch salt

Garnishes

  • 2 cups baby arugula
  • 1 avocado , sliced
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high. Add chili powder, cumin, coriander and cinnamon, and sauté spices for 1 min. Add beef, oregano, Worcestershire and salt, stir gently to combine, and simmer for 6 min or until flavourful.
  • Combine sour cream, lime juice, sugar and salt. Set aside.
  • Working in batches, heat tortillas in a dry skillet and wrap in a clean kitchen towel to keep them warm.
  • Serve braised beef with sour cream sauce, tortillas, arugula, avocado and feta.
