Fully loaded with plenty of meat and not much else, this is a serious pizza – for committed carnivores only.
500 g lean ground beef
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, squished
1/3 cup spaghetti sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp vinegar, (any kind)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
salt, to taste
black pepper, to taste
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar
1 12-in. unbaked pizza crust
In a medium skillet, combine the beef with the onion and garlic and cook, stirring over medium heat, until the onion is cooked and the meat is no longer pink – about 6 to 8 minutes. Drain off any excess fat. Add the spaghetti sauce, ketchup, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Let cool slightly.
Spread sloppy mixture evenly over the pizza crust, then sprinkle with the shredded cheese. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until cheese is melted and crust is lightly browned on the bottom.
