Chocolate and mint are a favourite combination in this easy-to-make, scrumptious treat for the whole family.
peppermint tea bags
unsweetened cocoa powder
- In a saucepan, combine 2½ cups (625 mL) of the milk with tea bags. Heat over medium heat just until steaming. Remove from heat, cover and let steep for 5 minutes or until infused with mint flavour. Remove tea bags, squeezing gently to release excess milk.
- In a bowl, combine sugar and cocoa. Whisk in remaining cold milk until smooth. Whisk into saucepan and return to medium heat. Heat, stirring often, until steaming. Pour into mugs and serve with candy canes as swizzle sticks.
