3 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 small pinch hot-pepper flakes, (optional)
1/2 cup reserved pasta cooking water
1 tsp grated lemon zest
torn basil leaves
salt, to taste
black pepper, to taste
Heat olive oil; add minced garlic and pinch chili flakes (optional), and sizzle for 30 seconds.
Toss with cooked linguine, plus reserved pasta cooking water, lemon zest, some torn basil leaves, and salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
