Try this maple hot chocolate for a classic winter drink with a syrupy-sweet vanilla twist.


  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 2 tbsp to 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 4 cups milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla


  • In a saucepan, whisk together cocoa, salt, water and syrup until well blended. Gradually whisk in milk. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
