The LeapFrog LeapStart 3D Learning System is a kid-tech toy that brings interactive learning to a whole new dimension. Touch the stylus (which is attached to the laptop-like case by a cord, making it difficult to lose) to any image or word on the enclosed activity book and watch your child react to 3D-like animation on the small pop-up screen. Even our editors were impressed with how well this toy senses each page and how responsive the stylus is to each image. While ideal for solo play, some kids might need to be walked through all the features the first time using the system. Booklet activities highlight math, spelling, phonics and problem-solving—the skills kids need to get ready for school. Additional books featuring popular characters such as Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig can be purchased separately, allowing little scholars to play and learn at the right level and move up when they’re ready.
