Q: Is wearing heels OK for my body and my baby while I’m pregnant? I don’t feel dressed up enough for work without my stilettos, but I’m five months pregnant and I already feel like I’m getting dirty looks from the pregnancy police.

A: Wearing high heels during your pregnancy is probably not a good idea. It will put increased strain on your lower back, which is already under pressure during pregnancy. Pregnant women also have an increased risk of falling due to their shifting centre of gravity — which these heels will likely aggravate.
