It seems like all the pregnant stars are wearing long patterned dresses this season. Here are some of our faves!
It seems like every week Alyson Hannigan is out and about wearing something fabulous. Come to think of it, most of her maternity wear seems to be bold and patterned. This number is no exception, it's absolutely beautiful and shows off that baby bump, especially when paired with that cute denim jacket. She must own dozens of maternity dresses, it's crazy.
Here she is looking as marvelous as always with her hubby Alexis Denisof, while supervising little Satyana in the park.
Okay, I know this is another Alyson Hannigan post, but she always looks so amazingly pregnant that I couldn't resist. She's clearly ready to pop any day now but still has the time and energy to take little Satyana to the park.
This dress is one of my favourites of hers for sure, and she looks great in blue (it must be that red hair!)
We've already written about this outfit, but it's just so well put together that I couldn't resist adding it here too! Pregnant ladies are some of the few who can actually pull off horizontal stripes (and I'm kind of jealous of that -- I love them!) and the empire waisted tie makes her bump even more pronounced.
Isn't it nice that she matched her shoes to her cardigan? She's always been really good at accessorizing.
This isn't the first time we've seen Vanessa in something patterned during her pregnancy, but this design is unlike anything I've seen before, because it seems to accentuate her baby bump while also hiding it, so I'm a little confused. She does manage to make something comfortable look trendy though, but for all I know it's designer.
Plus that bag is absolutely gorgeous!
I'll be the first to admit that I don't understand the Kardashian clan, but Kourtney does look really good in this animal-print inspired dress at the opening of boyfriend Scott Disick's restaurant RYU. She's due in late spring with baby #2, this time a girl, and is actually glowing in this picture.
Photo: FameFlynet PicturesIf it seems like Tori Spelling's been pregnant forever, it's probably because she more or less has. Only five months after the birth of baby Hattie, Tori announced that she was pregnant again (quite unexpectedly).
Despite basically being pregnant for a year and a half, she always looks great and, of course, seems to wear only great patterns. This floral number is no exception. Absolutely adorable!
I guess it's very fitting that Melissa is at the What to Expect When You're Expecting premier, and she looks great in this blue floral number. The former Sabrina the Teenage Witch star recently announced that she's pregnant with her third child with husband Mark Wilkerson.
From what I can tell, usually Melissa has a very subdued-yet-stylish, but she seems to have gone all out for the premier and it suits her well. I'm not usually a fan of the one-armed dress style, but it she was really able to pull it off. And paired with that cute yellow clutch? Perfect!
Model/actress Molly Sims and her new husband Scott Stuber are expecting their first child at the end of June. Here she is at the premier for the movie Battleship wearing a gorgeous black and white patterned dress with a sheer blazer/blouse. She looks really pregnant, but really happy on the red (-- or blue) carpet, and seems to be wearing flat pregnancy-approved shoes. She really seems to shine no matter what she's wearing.
Photo: FameFlynet PicturesSarah Michelle Gellar and hubby Freddie Prinze Jr. have only recently announced that their second child is on the way, but I couldn't resist showing her cute little floral dress, even though she is barely showing. I think the real attention grabber in this shot, however, is miss Charlotte Prinze who is on her way to dance glass with boots and juice in tow.
No but seriously, don't you just want to wear Sarah's dress all summer?
Of course, no maternity wear gallery is complete without the addition of Jessica Simpson, who recently gave birth to little Maxwell Drew. Although I love the idea of horizontal stripes in maternity clothing, I don't understand why Jessica chose to wear this: it looks like it was two separate dresses sewn together!
Jessica also announced that she will be launching her own maternity clothing line in the fall, and I truly hope that she sticks to one pattern per dress.
