How to make a figure skating bun

Follow these simple steps to create the perfect figure skating bun for your daughter.

1. Comb hair back into a smooth ponytail behind your child’s head. Secure with an elastic.

2. Spray the ponytail and the rest of your child’s hair with hairspray to hold and prevent fly-away strands.

3. Twist the ponytail. Wrap the twisted ponytail around the elastic at its base, tucking the ends underneath.

4. Wrap an additional elastic around the bun. Don’t use bobby pins as they can fall out on the ice and potentially cause an accident. Have your skater move and shake her head to ensure the bun holds.
