Name: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Best known for: Stepped back from their royal roles after the birth of their first baby, Archie

After welcoming their first child in true royal fashion, the young couple made the choice to step back from their traditional responsibilities to “carve out a progressive new role within this institution” and attempt to give their son, Archie, a more normal life. Since striking out on their own, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have bought a house in Santa Barbara, California, and announced their intention to launch a non-profit foundation in 2021. They’ve also spent much of the summer doing (virtual) public appearances supporting racial justice and feminist initiatives, like Black Lives Matter and the Girl Up Leadership Summit. In November, Meghan penned an emotional essay for the New York Times, where she revealed that the couple had recently suffered a miscarriage. "After changing his diaper, I felt a sharp cramp. I dropped to the floor with him in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm, the cheerful tune a stark contrast to my sense that something was not right. I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second."
