Week seven's tax tip: Request Donation Receipts

Get on top of tax season with our seventh weekly task and tip

Join us each week for a to-do and helpful tips so you’ll be ready for tax season and save money this year!

This week’s task and tip:

Request donation receipts: Most registered charities will email or mail donation slips directly to your inbox — or home — sometime this month. But what if your family makes regular contributions to a place of worship such as a church, synagogue or mosque? Contact an administrator this week to request an official receipt, since many religious institutions don’t send them out automatically.
