Get on top of tax season with our 11th weekly task and tip
Join us each week for a to-do and helpful tips so you'll be ready for tax season and save money this year!
This week's task and tip:
Inform your accountant of major life changes: Moved? Had a new baby? Separated? Let your accountant know before submitting your tax package at the end of this month. If you forget to provide the location of your new digs, your refund could be sent to the wrong address. If you added a little one to your family, this will affect any additional child benefits, deductions and credits you can claim. A change in marital status could also affect some of the family-centred benefits and credits spouses can claim.
