Stay informed of tax changes: The tax deadline is fast approaching! Don’t forget to take advantage of any new credits, deductions or benefits before filing your return in a few weeks. Starting in 2011, for example, parents can claim up to $500 per year in cultural expenses for each of their kids. This includes art classes and music lessons for your budding Mozart-in-the-making.
