Who is The Sopo Family?

The Sopo Family is a family of YouTube content creators. The family includes Mike (Dad), Lizzy (Mom), and their children Camryn, Parker, Austin and Colton, who range in age from 8 to 15.

The Family created their first YouTube channel, @SopoSquadFamily, in June 2019. Sopo explains that they started the channel because of their children's interest in Roblox.

"We wanted to ensure our kids' online safety while bonding over something they enjoyed," says Sopo. "Soon, we were creating Roblox content full-time on our @SopoSquadGaming channel and other social media platforms."

Today, the family has several channels. In addition to @SopoSquadFamily and @SopoSquadGaming, there are also @SopoSquadPlayz, @SopoSquadSim and @SopoShorts. Sopo believes their success comes from their personalities and family dynamics. "We're all about fun, energy, empathy and caring," he says.

What kind of content do they create?

The Sopo Family's content includes gaming, challenges and family vlogs that showcase daily life and family adventures.

Recently, the Sopos created new content about Dress to Impress, a viral Roblox runway game. "We enjoy friendly competition in the game's challenges, which lets us be creative and express ourselves," he adds.

Why kids love The Sopo Family

Sopo notes that The Sopo Family channels appeal to children and adults because the whole family is involved. "We focus on family content to connect with parents and kids who love Roblox or want to learn about safe gaming," he explains.

Sopo also credits Roblox for the channel's success, as it connects them with people worldwide. "Roblox's global community has allowed our kids to connect with people worldwide and show kindness beyond borders," Sopo explains.

Additionally, many viewers have grown along with the family over the years. Sopo explains, "Our YouTube community has grown alongside us, especially with our children Camryn, Parker, Austin and Colton."

A Day in the Life of The Sopo Family

Sopo says their life has changed since achieving YouTube fame while bringing the family closer. "Our channel allows us to spend quality time together, share memories, and support each other's passions," he explains. "We face pressure to produce content regularly, but we try to balance our approach to avoid burnout."

Involving all family members in creating content has also allowed them to bond.

"We as a family are all involved in the content creation process," Sopo suggests. "Our first video on YouTube was actually of our daughter Camryn, who inspired us to start creating Roblox videos. We take everyone's input into all our ideas and create videos that are fun for all of us."

Is The Sopo Family good for kids?

Parents should always keep an eye on what their kids watch online, including videos from The Sopo Family. Sopo himself suggests that parents should set limits and check out the content beforehand.

"We encourage parents to set screen-time rules that they want their kids to follow," he says. "We also encourage parents to join their kids in watching our channel. Our videos have something for everyone, and we love to keep everyone entertained."

Parents should also note that the family's videos include advertisements and partnerships. However, Sopo notes, "We carefully choose partnerships that match our family values and hope our viewers enjoy our advertised products."

"By participating in their activities like Roblox, we can provide real-time safety lessons," he explains. "This allows kids to learn internet safety directly from us, rather than on their own."
