Read on for Cheryl's tips for on-trend maternity clothes.A version of this article appeared in Today's Parent Pregnancy Guide (Spring/Summer 2013) with the headline "Bump up your style," pp. 24-27.

Workout time

"Lululemon workout clothes are the best," says Cheryl. "They're comfortable to touch and on your body.""By this point, my chest has taken on a life of its own. I was challenged in that department prior to my pregnancy, but now I'm not. It's hard to workout with them! Delta Burke has a really good workout bra, and that's what I wear now."

Saturday errands

"I'm a huge fan of wedges," says Cheryl."I'm so used to high heels that my back gets sore in flats, but I can run around all day in a wedge. The lift supports my lower back."

Date night

"Bigger hair is always better!" says Cheryl. "It distracts from the beauty which is the bod."The boxy shift dress is great for looking 1960s-chic, even when your belly is out to there. "I had the tights on because it was a little short. But I still felt covered and pulled together, and a little bit sexy."

Brunch with friends

This flowing dress is loose and girlie, but gains a bit of an edge with a jean jacket work overtop. It also plays down Cheryl's least-favourite thing about pregnancy weight gain — her upper arms.Accessorizing is key to avoiding boredom with your well-used maternity wardrobe. Just keep in mind that necklace lengths might change as your chest grows.Cheryl tells other moms-to-be to shop for pieces you can continue to wear, even when you're not pregnant. "After the baby arrives, I'm going to wear this dress with a low-slung belt."
