Health Canada has announced the recall of Small Wonders Pacifiers, style number 1622 and UPC number 627174016226. The pacifiers come in a pack of two, in different colour combinations.

The recall was issued after Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program uncovered excess amounts of lead in the pacifier's mouth guard. Lead can cause a number of health problems in young children if inhaled or ingested.

Please see Health Canada's website for the full recall notice.

The recalled pacifiers have been sold throughout Canada, from 2006 to 2011. No incidents have been reported by consumers.
