RECALL: Health Canada recalls Baby B'gosh Quilted Hooded Jackets

Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, The Genuine Canadian Corporation and OshKosh B’gosh, Inc. have recalled the Baby B'gosh Quilted Hooded Jackets due to a potential choking hazard for children.

The affected products include the Baby B’gosh Quilted Hooded Jackets in pink and grey with a front button closure. The style number can be found on the front of the care tag sewn on the inside of the product, and the UPC number can be found on the back of the same care tag.  The style number and UPC number can also be found on the price tag.

The recall was issued because the product’s closure snaps may detach from the jacket resulting in a choking hazard for children. As of October 10, 2017, the company has received one report of the snaps detaching in Canada, with no injuries. In the United States, OshKosh has received three reports of the snaps detaching, with no reports of injuries.

Approximately 2,267 pink jackets and 2,838 grey jackets were sold in Canada and approximately 38,000 were sold in the United States, between August 2017 and September 2017.

What should you do? If you have one of the recalled products, you should stop using it immediately and return the product to a Carter's OshKosh store in Canada for a full refund.
