RECALL: Discovery Kids Animated Marine and Safari Lamps

A recall has been issued for Discovery Kids™ Animated Marine and Safari Lamps. Poor placement of the internal wires has caused sparking and electrical short-circuiting — making them a serious fire and burn hazard. 

The lamps were sold from June 2010 to March 2012 at Bed Bath & Beyond, Bonton, JCPenney, Kohls, Office Max and Toys "R" Us stores in the U.S., and such online stores as Amazon, Ideeli, JCPenney, Kohls, Macy's and Overstock. The manufacturer has confirmed that the lamps were sold to Canadian consumers.
