Major Graco car seat recall (updated)

Graco announces the recall of 3.8 million child car seats in the U.S. and is being pressed to recall infant car seats. Here's information for Canadians.

UPDATED: Health Canada has issued an official advisory for various Graco Nautilus and MyRide 65 models.

Graco has announced the recall of about 3.8 million car seats sold between 2009 and 2013 in the U.S. (see note below regarding Canada). The buckles may get stuck, trapping infants in the seat.

Graco is saying food or drink spills in and around the buckles is causing them to stick.

Car seats involved in the recall are as follows:

Graco is also being pressed to recall another 1.8 million of the following rear-facing infant carseats (though these products are not being recalled, Graco will honour buckle-replacement requests):
