Your favourite platform to search for printable colouring pages, offline activities for kids and family road trip ideas is taking a deep dive into parenting trends. As you may know, Pinterest announces its predictions for the biggest trends each year, based on the most popular and rising searches on the platform. In 2026, these include "Gimme Gummy", a gummy bear aesthetic trending with Gen Z and millennials, "Glamoratti", a bold maximalist aesthetic and "Scent Stacking", a trend towards layering perfumes and other fragrances.

This year, for the first time, they've added the Pinterest Parenting Trend Report 2026. A Pinterest-commissioned study reported that the platform reaches 40 percent of U.S. parents and 52 percent of expecting parents, so the focus on this demographic isn't a surprise.

Each one is based on popular searches. For instance, "Throwback Kid" reflects increasing searches for vintage toys, clothes and nursery decor. Searches for "vintage baby clothes 90s" are up 600%, "1970s childhood toys" are up 200% and "vintage kids bedroom" are up 100%.

Whether you're also searching for these topics or you're just looking for simple, glitter-free crafts that will keep your kid busy for three minutes, the trend report is worth checking out. Plus, five of the trends have accompanying Pinterest boards (linked in the list above), curated by the platform with high-quality tips and inspiration.
