Now that it's December, Emily can finally embrace the holiday season. Bring on the Christmas movies!
Remember my last blog post, when I talked about the importance of December 1st? As a rule, I can't do anything Christmas-y until the month of December. But now that December is upon us (officially rung in by a phone call from my mother as she blasts "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"!), Christmas can finally make an appearance in my life.
Which is why I'll be spending this weekend with some of my closest girlfriends, watching our favourite Christmas movies! We have a few favourites, of course, which will be at the top of the list: Elf ("Buddy the Elf, what's your favourite colour?"), Love Actually (quite possibly the cutest movie ever created) and Home Alone ("Kevin, you're such a disease!").
There's something so special about watching Christmas movies. Really, it's not the movie itself that's so great, but rather the tradition of curling up on the couch with loved ones, quoting our favourite movie lines while sipping gingerbread lattes and having way too much fun with Elf Yourself. Can you tell I'm excited for this weekend?
If you need some Christmas movie inspiration, our very own Laura Grande (the office's movie buff) put together a list of great family-friendly holiday movies on our sister site, Canadianparents.com!
Plus, check out our roundup of our favourite holiday traditions, straight from our staff.
What's on your list of must-watch movies during the holidays?
