Addy playing at Auntie Shayna's house. The minute she walked in the door she asked Lisa's sister to put the TV on.
Judging by what I was listening to late last week on the radio, I'm going to assume that this is a hot-button topic with most parents. I want to know how old you think is appropriate for kids to have a TV in their bedroom. According to the stats I heard, a third of all three-year-olds have a TV in their room.
Lisa and I have discussed this a few times (discussed, not argued about) and she thinks Addy is still much too young for an LCD mounted on her bedroom wall. Frankly I don’t know if I agree or disagree; all I know is that a couple of Little Einstein’s shows in her room with the door shut would give us a nice 40-minute break when we need it. That said, I never had a TV in my bedroom...until I was in my thirties and moved in with Lisa. She got one when she was 13 or so and has had one in her room since.
Does your child have a TV in her bedroom? How long has she had it for? Do you think three is too young?
