Oscars fashions 2013: Celebrity parents who rocked the red carpet!

Reese Witherspoon tops my best-dressed list in her gorgeous Louis Vuitton gown and jewellery. The dress reminds me of something Charlotte York of Sex and the City would wear — elegant, sophisticated, tailored, yet cute with the subtle black bow on the trim. I couldn't get enough of it.

When Giuliana Rancic asked her about her gorgeous, voluminous hair, Reese said, "Well, I just had a baby, so your hair gets all thick — and I'm not looking forward to when you lose all the hair after the baby, so thank you!"

When asked if her 13-year-old daughter, Ava, helped pick out the dress, Reese replied, "She tells me what's cool, what doesn't look good. So it's sort of fun — we do it together."

Amy Adams' fabulous grey Oscar de la Renta dress was also a big it. It certainly stood out in the front row during the awards ceremony. Did you notice that?

Phyllis: Amy Adams looks lovely in pearl grey feathers! ...This dress does not fit her in the back!

So, what did you think of Halle Berry's Versace dress? She said she wanted something "Bond girl"-esque, and I think she achieved it. It was a gorgeous dress — on trend with the shimmer, hugged her stunning figure, and showed off her truly magnificent decoloutage. My only issue with it was the shoulder pads, which you could see through the sheer fabric when she was on stage presenting. But, as many people have pointed out, the lighting on stage was brutally unforgiving.

Phyllis: Halle looks like the zebra from Life of Pi.

Maybe... but a GORGEOUS zebra!

Hilarious Melissa McCarthy looked lovely in this gun-metal grey David Meister dress. The colour was beautiful on her, and the beading was exquisite.

The reviews on this dress have been mixed, however — some thought the teased hair was a bit much, and that the jersey material was a poor choice for her.

Phyllis: Melissa looks great! Nice dress, tasteful! Accents on extremities stretch her out. Her hair looks soft, flowing and away from her face.

"It couple" Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum looked gorgeous, as always — him in his hot Gucci suit (with stud/cuff link set by Martin Katz), and her in a black lace Rachel Roy dress.

On E!'s Live from the Red Carpet, Channing reassured Ryan Seacrest there will be no slowing down once the baby arrives. "We're having the baby in London," he said. "I'm shooting there at the time. No downtime whatsoever."

And how about Channing dancing with Charlize Theron during Seth McFarlane's opening monologue? Big Channing's clearly not a ballroom dancer, but it was so sweet!

What did you think of petite Salma Hayek in this Baroque black and gold Alexander McQueen gown? The reviews have been mixed, but she looked undeniably gorgeous. And if you can pull off wearing a tiara at age 46...!? Kudos to you!

Phyllis: Loved Selma's dress. The necklace-like top was exotic and suited her.

Jennifer Hudson shimmered in this divine Roberto Cavalli Couture dress, amazing Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, Jimmy Choo clutch, and Sutra jewelry. Fa-bu-lous!

Phyllis: I thought she looked beautiful, and she sang beyond. She's the best singer of our day right now. Unbelievable.

Check out amazing Adele in this beaded black Jenny Packham gown and (hidden) Louboutin shoes. As always, the singer looked elegant, and her makeup was gorgeous.

Phyllis: Ahhh, Adele. Love her! This dress is a good choice for her. She's a tall girl!

Uh oh, my seven-year-old daughter has woken up in time to catch of glimpse of her favourite singer: "That's Adele, Mama! I can't believe she's there!" (Breaks into "Skyfall" song....)

Catherine Zeta Jones was surprisingly one of the big stars of the show last night (there was a lo-ho-hot of Chicago for some reason), and she definitely dressed for the part!

Here she is (with handsome hubby Michael Douglas) in a sparkly gold Zuhair Murad gown and Lorraine Schwartz diamonds. While I'm not a huge fan of gold dresses, the intricate beading makes this dress quite the work of art. Though it screams Solid Gold dancer, I couldn't take my eyes off it.

Phyllis: Catherine Zeta Jones looks like Oscar himself!

Everyone's talking about Helen Hunt's affordable, eco-friendly H&M dress! The sleek, silk-satin couture gown was created just for her.

As Helen informed E!'s Ryan Seacrest, it's a representation of H&M's new green initiative with the Global Green environmental group.

Alas, the gown will not be available in stores. And it's doubtful that the $700,000 Martin Katz jewelry, which was reportedly stitched right into the dress, will be either....
