Older dads: Celebrities we love!

In light of the latest study, which suggests paternal age may affect offspring, let's take a look at some of our favourite older celebrity dads and their adorable kids.

Brad Pitt was 44 when he and Angelina Jolie welcomed their now-four-year-old twins, Knox and Vivienne.

Jay-Z was 42 when his daughter with Beyoncé Knowles, Blue Ivy, made her grand entrance into the world last January.

Rod Stewart welcomed his eighth child, Aiden, at age 66! Aiden is Rod's second child with his current wife Penny Lancaster. They also have a 6.5-year-old son named Alistair.

Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz welcomed their adorable bundle of joy, Leo, into the world when Javier was 41.

Baby Exton Elias Downey was born when dad, Robert Downey Jr., was 46.

Elton John and David Furnish welcomed baby Zachary via surrogate when Elton was 63 and David was 48.

It's been pretty much confirmed that Elton is the biological father. According to a source, "Elton really wanted the child to have his genes.... He has a god-given talent and wanted to pass that one to a child. And after years of discussion and thought, Elton and David decided together that Elton's sperm would be used."

What's more? It looks like Elton and David aren't stopping at one. Rumour has it they're working on securing a sibling for Zachary.

Tom Cruise's now 6.5-year-old daughter Suri, was born when he was 43.

Father of five, Paul McCartney, never thought he'd be a dad again at 60+, but he and ex-wife Heather Mills welcomed their daughter Beatrice (left), now 8, when he was 61.

Chris Noth, aka Sex and the City's "Mr. Big," had his first child, Orion (now 4), at age 53.

Dad of three, Michael Douglas, had two kids with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones when he was in his 50s — Dylan at 53, and Cerys (left) at 56.

Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts welcomed their second son, Samuel (now 3.5), when Liev was 41.

Owen Wilson welcomed his son, Robert Ford (now 19 months), at age 42...in Hawaii.

Legendary Canadian singer Bryan Adams welcomed his daughter, Mirabella Bunny (now 16 months), when he was 51. 

Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker welcomed twins Tabitha and Marion (now 3) when Matthew was 47. The twins' older brother, James Wilkie, will be 10 in October.

Seal and ex-wife Heidi Klum welcomed their youngest child, Lou (now 2), when Seal was 46.

Seal was 42 when they had Henry, who's now almost 7, and 43 when they had Johan, now 5.5.

Hugh Grant was 51 when baby Tabitha was born. "Lots of people warned me that the baby period is not that exciting. But I am excited, actually," he said in typical Hugh fashion. "I thought, well, I'll bluff through — but very little bluffing has been required."

John Travolta and Kelly Preston welcomed their third child, Benjamin, last November, when John was 56.

John and Kelly are also parents to Ella Bleu, 12. Tragically, they lost their 16-year-old son Jett in 2009.

Bruce Willis and his wife, Emma Heming-Willis, welcomed baby Mabel Ray Willis last April, when Bruce was 57.

Bruce also has three older kids with former wife Demi Moore (all over 18).

Actor Warren Beatty has four kids with wife Annette Bening. Their youngest child, Ella, now 12, was born when he was 63.

Legendary actor/director Clint Eastwood has seven kids (with five different women!). He was 66 when his youngest daughter, Morgan, now 15, was born.

He had his daughter Alison at 42, his son Scott at 56, Kathryn at 57, and Fancesca at 63.

Clint is also dad to Kyle and Kimber, whom he had in his younger years.

Actor Kevin Costner and his wife, Christine Baumgarten, had three kids when Kevin was in his 50s — Cayden, now 5, when he was 52, Hayes, 3, at 54, and Grace, 2, at 55.

Dad of two, David Bowie, had his now-12-year-old daughter Alexandria (with wife Iman, left), when he was 53.

Father of five, Jack Nicholson, welcomed his youngest son Raymond, now 20, at age 54. He had his daughter, Lorraine, two years earlier.

Jack is also dad to Jennifer Nicholson, Honey Hollman, and Caleb Goddard.

Kelsey Grammer recently welcomed his fifth child at age 57.

Mark McGrath and fiancée Carin Kingsland welcomed twins, Lydon and Hartley, now 2, when he was 42.

Dad of seven, Mick Jagger, welcomed his youngest sons when he was in his 50s — Gabriel, now 14, when he was 54, and Lucas, 13, a year and a half later.

He had his daughter Georgia, now 20, at 48.

Mick's other kids are Karis (b. 1970), Jade (b. 1971), Elizabeth (b. 1974) and James (b. 1985). Some of their kids are around Lucas' age!
