Kim Kardashian's maternity clothes have been a fun point of contention among Today's Parent readers*: You either love her pregnancy style or, dare I say, loathe it. Some love how she's taking risks and dressing beyond her bump; others think she should cover up with more traditional maternity clothes (muumuus and maxi dresses, maybe?).

OK, this is going to be fun! Here's Kim exiting her house on her way to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, earlier this week, in a very little little black dress. Some of our readers said they love the dress and wish they themselves were that adventurous with their maternity clothes; others said it's way...way too short.

A little fancy for a shopping spree, I'd say. And those heels, omg! Of all the pregnant celebrities ever, NO ONE has worn more stilettos than Kim Kardashian — not even Victoria Beckham.

See, she loves this silhouette — it definitely accentuates her legs, great skin and new curves. The consensus on this variation hasn't been great, however. Critics said it wasn't the most flattering dress on her (to put it gently).

Indeed, criticism about her weight has been mounting lately, and this dress has been a go-to for teasing. I think she looks beautiful in it.

The general consensus has been favourable for this outfit — pretty billowing blouse tucked into short high-waisted skirt. She's taking a break from her beloved black clothing, which is nice to see; she looks lovely and feminine. I personally never show that much leg (pregnant or not pregnant), but if you've got 'em, and you live in LA, then why not?

As you'll see later in the gallery, Kim's a big fan of this year's white trend, which is sweeping red carpets everywhere. Here she is in a fabulous white, knee-length pencil skirt, on her way to the office to tape scenes for her reality-TV show Keeping Up With the Kardashians," March 12.

Kim is, of course, known for her derrière, and this pencil skirt is the perfect vehicle to really show it off. Go girl!

Gosh, that'll be an interesting season of Keeping Up — documenting Kim's not-so-easy pregnancy.

As you can see, Kim's a big fan of black and neutral colours. Here's a splash of major colour for you: bright pink maxi dress with neon-yellow stilettos. I don't know about you, but I'm fascinated.

AWE-SOME!

What? Wouldn't you wear a white pantsuit and pointy stilettos while pregnant and flying?? No? Hehee. This is precisely why we love her.

Kim was spotted in this flowy, cream-coloured maxi earlier this week, April 3. She was going out for frozen yogurt with her stepbrother Brandon and his wife, Leah Felder, at SweetHarts, in Sherman Oaks, California.

It's not the the perfect choice for froyo with friends, and a tad small around the bust, but at least she's wearing flats..., and she kind of looks like a princess — which is fun!

This was one of the first dresses that made us take notice of Kim's maternity style. When we saw this, we knew she was going for it. It's just such an unusual choice for a "maternity" dress — you know, because it's white...and tight. But Kim is always, if nothing else, on trend, and she is working it!

Now this is a look most of us can relate to. Comfortable, casual, relaxed, totally appropriate. Kim's photo'd here going for breakfast at Jinky's Café in Sherman Oaks, California, March 1. Love the denim. So cute!

Hilarious! Here are Kim and her sister Khloe holding each other up as they attempt to walk down the stairs in their sky-high stilettos, at West Hollywood's famous Ivy restaurant. They do love their Louboutins.

I love love love this photo. It demonstrates exactly why we love Kim: She is such a spectacle in the billowy, flesh-coloured shirt dress, amazing cream jacket (an odd but perfect pairing), and omg, flats!

The dress is totally too long and too much for the lunch date to which she was headed when this photo was taken, last month. Classic Kim!

Finally some patterns! How fabulous is this? Sleek, tailored, a work of art — love it. Kim's sister Kourtney's outfit is also amazing.

Ooo, colour and sparkles! Grey is a refreshing change for our Kim. She's photo'd here leaving the Trump Soho Hotel for lunch at The Darby restaurant in New York City, March 27. The dress is a little on the tight side, but I love it. And, unlike some of her other outfits, it's appropriate for the occasion!

You thought the last dress was skin tight? Check this out! Here's Kim shopping in New York City, March 26, wearing a skin-tight leather dress and gladiator heels. Can you imagine squeezing your pregnant body into that??

This is a nice look for Kim. The traditionalists among you will agree, right? The jacket is fabulous, and the flats are definitely more fitting for pregnancy. She looks cute!
