Our June 2025 Family Watch Guide
Animated storytelling is having a moment—and it’s weirder (and more wonderful) than ever.

From dragon-riding Vikings to demon-hunting K-pop idols, this month's animation-heavy entertainment lineup features a diverse cast of characters. Nostalgic '00s reboots are dominating the cartoon circuit (think: Fairly OddParents and Phineas and Ferb), and inventive new stories are coming to the silver screen—like Disney and Pixar's Elio, a cosmic coming-of-age tale about a boy mistaken for Earth’s ambassador to the galaxy. June 5: Phineas and Ferb, Season 5

Season 5 of the beloved kids’ cartoon Phineas and Ferb will debut on Disney Channel on June 5, and will be available on Disney+ the next day. The season follows the inventive stepbrothers through another 104 days of summer fun. Meanwhile, sister Candace is more determined than ever to bust them, and Perry the Platypus resumes his secret life as Agent P,
June 12: The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish, Season 2

The second season of The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish premieres on June 12. Hazel and her friends are back for another round of wish-fueled misadventures, featuring time travel, rock monsters, talking teeth and plenty of magical mayhem.
June 13: How to Train Your Dragon

The highly-anticipated live action remake of How to Train Your Dragon goes to the silver screen on June 13. In the film, the bond between Hiccup, a resourceful young Viking, and Toothless, a rare Night Fury dragon, becomes the cornerstone for a new future shared by both species.
June 20: Elio

The latest Disney/Pixar collab will hit theatres on June 20. Elio, a misfit with a vivid imagination, is accidentally transported to the Communiverse and mistaken for Earth’s ambassador. Among quirky aliens, he begins to find his place—and himself.
June 20: KPop Demon Hunters

KPop Demon Hunters is streaming on Netflix as of June 20. The animated fantast film follows K-pop idols Rumi, Mira and Zoey, who moonlight as secret demon hunters when they're not performing. The trio is faced with their toughest challenge yet: a rival boy band that’s actually a group of demons in disguise.
June 26: Ironheart

Marvel's new mini-series Ironheart hits Disney+ on June 26. Riri Williams, a gifted MIT student, builds her own advanced suit of armor, drawing inspiration from Tony Stark’s legacy. As she confronts the challenges of being a young Black woman in a male-dominated industry, a looming technological threat pushes her to embrace the mantle of hero.
