Campbell Company of Canada is recalling their Pepperidge Farm brand Goldfish Flavour Blasted Xtreme Cheddar Crackers due to a possible salmonella contamination. The affected products are:
The recall was triggered by a recall in another country. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is currently doing a food investigation and more products may be recalled. So far no illnesses have been reported from people eating the crackers.
What should you do? If you have this product, you should throw it out or return it to the store where you purchased it. You can also call Pepperidge Farm customer service about a refund at 1-800-679-1791.
Products with salmonella do not always smell or look spoiled, so if you have consumed this product and experience short-term fever, nausea, vomiting, headache, abdominal cramps or diarrhea, you should go see your doctor right away.
