3 family-friendly water parks in Calgary

1. Village Square Leisure Centre With its safari-themed water park, Village Square Leisure Centre will make you and your little monkeys feel like you’re on a tropical vacation! This indoor water park has many cool features, like their wave pool, which is beach-style, so it starts off shallow and slowly gets deeper—great for your little fish. Plus, there's a winding waterslide that goes both in and outside the building (awesome!). But wait, this water park gets cooler! The Safari Splash Zone has a 500 gallon bucket that's ready to drench you. There are also rope bridges and water stations so you can have a splashing good time. 2. Southland Leisure Centre Much like its sister leisure centre, Village Square,  Southland’s indoor water park contains many of the same awesome features. There’s a jungle-gym play structure in the water for kids to climb, play and slide down. Your kids will squeal with glee as they slip down the huge twisty-slide. Big and little kids will love floating in the wave pool. The beach-style entrance is great for toddlers and babies who want to slowly get their toes wet. The mushroom fountain is also quite popular with the younger set! Plus, kids will love all the pretend animals found around the water park, from a diving shark to a flying butterfly. The building offers babysitting, preschool and after-school programs. It's pretty spacious, so round up the troops and spend the day diving, floating and splashing around.

3. Oasis River Country Water Park This splash-tastic indoor water park is located inside the Sheraton Cavalier Calgary Hotel and is not to be missed! There are two 250 foot waterslides for swooshing down—cowabunga, dude! After they're done going down the slide again and again, the kids can check out the whirlpool and kiddie pool. If you feel like lounging, there’s a main pool and a hot tub. Now, who doesn’t love a plate of nachos? There’s a Splash!
