1. Kitsilano Pool (Kits Pool) This serene escape just outside of Kits Beach is the only outdoor saltwater pool in Vancouver. It also holds the title for being the longest pool in Canada, so the kids can practice swimming laps. And that's not all. There are three waterslides for both your big and little fish to zip down. After all that swimming, it's time for a snack at the café. You can munch away while enjoying the gorgeous view. The pool is wheelchair accessible and has a pool lift and aquatic wheelchairs.

Go play: 2305 Cornwall St., Vancouver 607-731-0011 vancouver.ca

2. Second Beach Pool Another gorgeous pool right by the ocean! Located in the heart of Stanley Park, this heated pool is a great spot for families to relax at after a morning of hiking the trails. The pool is massive and has graduated depth, so tiny tots can sit in the shallow end and splash around. Your wee adventurer will love the giant seal that's basking in the shallow end. She can climb on top of him—as long as mom or dad are on hand to supervise. Bigger kids will have a blast on the waterslide. Enjoy snacks at the café, before heading to the nearby beach to look for crabs. The pool is wheelchair accessible.

3. New Brighton Pool With a stunning view of the mountains, this toddler-friendly pool is great for families with young kids. The beach entry lets the littlest fish slowly get her toes wet. There are also two small water slides for mini daredevils to try. What’s more, moms and dads can relax on the lush greenery and bring the family dog to hang out too! Dogs are allowed in the off-leash area. A café is on site and the pool is wheelchair accessible.

Kids can swoosh down the waterslide and jump off one of three diving boards. Your guppy can splash around in the shallow end, which has bubble jets for extra water fun. When you’ve had enough sun, venture inside to the indoor pool and take a ride down the lazy river. The pool is wheelchair accessible.

The pool has a walk-in entry, so your baby can sit and splash in the shallow end. Bring a few water toys, like boats and buckets, so the wee tots can explore the water in the shallow end. And make sure she goes down the mini slide—it's the perfect size for babies and toddlers. Enjoy a snack at the café before heading to the playground for a little climbing and swinging.
