  • scissors
  • pink and red paper
  • glue
  • green pipe cleaners
  • pink and green tissue paper
  • washi tape
  • headband

1. Cut three hearts out of coloured paper and fold each one in half vertically. Glue one half of the heart to the back half of another heart, lining them up so that their points meet. Repeat with a third heart. Put glue on the two free halves and sandwich a pipe cleaner between them. Hold the sides together until dry.

2. Cut pink tissue paper into 2-in.-by-6-in. strips. Cut slits along the length of the paper about 1/4-in. wide and 1 in. long, leaving the last inch of tissue paper intact. Roll intact end around a pipe cleaner and secure with tape. Flare out the snipped tissue ends to create petals.

3. Cut leaves out of green tissue paper. Attach to pipe cleaners and secure each with tape. Wrap the heart, flower and leaf pipe cleaners around a headband. Crown your favourite valentine with love.
