DIY festive metallic garland

Deck the halls with something sparkly this Christmas. This DIY garland is made with bow tie pasta, and is a great gift the kids can make.

Here’s how to make this DIY garland:

1. Spread uncooked pasta on a layer of newspaper and spray-paint on one side (adults only).

2. Sprinkle with glitter while paint is still wet, then wait 15 minutes.

3. Flip bow ties over, spray-paint the other side and dust with more glitter. Let dry.

4. Cut a long piece of twine and knot around middle of each pasta bow, spacing them about 10 cm (or four inches) apart.

Tip: A coat of hairspray will help seal the glitter.
