Thrift shops are laden with baskets that are perfect for this adorable update to your Easter basket.

1. To start, give them one coat of glossy-white spray paint, inside and out. (You may need two coats for darker baskets.)

2. Once the baskets are dry, turn them upside down and spray the bottoms and halfway up the sides with your accent colour. Try to maintain a distance of 10 to 12 inches, and use a back-and-forth motion with the can. The indirect spray from the paint will naturally make an ombré pattern.
