Fill a small piping bag with white icing. Fill another piping bag with pink icing. Cut off tips from piping bags and place both piping bags, side by side, into a larger piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe a swirl on top of cupcake. Add coloured sprinkles and top with a maraschino cherry.
