1. Riversdale Pool This wicked outdoor pool has an amazing 180-foot waterslide, ideal for big kids. You can watch your daredevil zoom down the slide, while supervising your little guy in the shallow area. After a morning in the water, kids can check out the nearby playground or toss the ball around on the volleyball or basketball courts. There's an electric barbecue if you're thinking of bringing some hot dogs along. And don't forget your spare change! There’s also cool concession stand loaded with sweet treats.

Go play: 822 Avenue H S., Saskatoon 306-975-3353 saskatoon.ca

2. George Ward Pool This pool is ideal for swimmers in need of perfecting their butterfly stroke. Equipped with diving boards, an outdoor volleyball court, grassy areas for picnics and a concession stand, your wee one will be tuckered out from a full day of activities!

3. Lathey Pool Who's ready for a day of family fun? Your kids are going to love the ginormous twisty waterslide at Lathey Pool. They'll want to spend the whole day going down it—yahoo! Little kids have their own mushroom pool, so they can splash to their hearts' content without getting in the way of the big fish. For lunch, bring along hot dogs and hamburgers to grill up on the BBQ. Before an afternoon nap, enjoy a game of volleyball.

4. Mayfair Pool You're going to want to spend the whole day at Mayfair Pool because there’s lots to do. With five lanes for swimmers to practise their backstroke and a diving board for future Olympians, your big kids won't want to get out of the water. Well, they'll get out, but only so they can go down the awesome waterslide. Your little minnow has her own pool, complete with a kiddie slide and dripping palm tree to keep her cool. When it's time to dry off, make use of the indoor multi-purpose room and picnic area (with a barbecue pit!) before heading home for nap time.

Go play: 1025 Avenue F N., Saskatoon 306-975-3352 saskatoon.ca
