Halifax, Nova Scotia photographer and mother, Kerianne Brown, has been documenting her family life and her baby's first year with a photo a day since April 2012. Here are some of our favourite photos from the past nine months.
We can't believe how much baby Wes has grown!
Nothing like a hug from one sweet, little boy to cheer you up on one of the darkest mornings I can ever remember. The days of Baby Brother being protected inside my belly are numbered. I look forward to seeing my two boys cuddling very soon!
He is so incredibly gorgeous and I can't even begin to explain how in love we are and how wonderful our house feels with our two boys. We are definitely a family now and we look forward to everything the future has in store.
Today was Father's Day and so it is only fitting that we get a photo of you with the best Daddy in the whole world. With the way you are looking at him and trying to 'talk' I think that you would be in complete agreement.
photo: Kerianne BrownI remember ordering this outfit specially for Wes when I found out that another baby boy was on the way! I was so excited when it arrived and couldn't wait for the day to come where he would fit into it. Unfortunately, he is growing so quickly these days that I may have to dress him in it every day just to get my money's worth! He looks so darn cute that I don't think anyone would complain seeing him in it all the time.
I had a moment this evening where I was left breathless because of the sweet moment I witnessed between my two boys. To see them smiling at each other was so heartwarming. Will was pointing at Wes saying, 'Look, Mummy, Baby Wes!' I love that they love each other.
We went back to the hotel room in the afternoon to see if Will would go down for a nap but there was no way he was going to shut those little eyes of his. Instead, we just relaxed for a bit and we had family come and visit us for a while. I caught this image of my boys today and realized just what was in store for me in the future. Wes is watching Will intently. I can see him learning so much from his big brother… good things and bad! It will make for a really fun future together!
Mommy and Daddy got a new king-sized bed for our bedroom. We took the boys to our room to try out the new comforter and to put the new rug on the floor. Will was very excited and was cheering for Wes, who was sitting up proudly on the new bed. I thought it was so cute that I caught him mid-fall with the biggest smile on his face. He thought it was so much fun toppling over on the soft bed!
I was putting Wes' Halloween costume away today and thought I needed just one more picture of my little lobster!
Baby Wes was playing peekaboo from behind the tree today (with a little help from Daddy, of course)!
