Looking for something to watch Monday nights? If you can get the kids in bed a bit earlier, you may want to check out the new CityTV family comedy, Seed.
Premiering this Monday, February 4 at 8:30 p.m. (check local listings for channels), Seed takes a page straight from the highly-popular sitcom, Modern Family, featuring three unique households — who all share one common element: a sperm donor.
Seed stars Toronto-born comedic actor Adam Korson as Harry, a carefree bachelor-bartender whose life takes an interesting turn when he finds out he has not one, but two kids — the result of his past sperm donations!
Although he’s reluctant at first, Harry quickly becomes a fixture in the lives of these two kids — a nine-year-old son and a 15-year-old daughter. As he becomes more involved in their lives, he begins relationships with three very different and separate recipient families — a laid-back lesbian couple with the nine-year-old son, a neurotically hopeful single mom-to-be and an uptight, upper-class family with the rebellious teenage daughter.
This all-Canadian series illustrates the complexity of family dynamics in a funny, light-hearted and (at times) relatable way. Watch for an upcoming guest appearance by Canadian funny man, Tom Green (The Tom Green Show).
Seed airs Monday February 4 at 8:30 p.m. EST/PST on CityTV.
