10 kids’ movies and shows that are new on Netflix Canada in May 2020

Netflix Canada has announced which new TV shows and movies it will be adding to its lineup next month, and of course that means, more options for kids! There’s a handful of titles to look forward to in May, including great picks for preschoolers like Go! Go! Cory Carson and Chico Bon Bon (based on the popular picture book series Monkey with a Tool Belt)! Check out the full lineup with specific release dates below.

But first, an important note: The age recommendations offered below are approximate. Every kid is different, and you’re the best judge of what’s appropriate and what your kid can handle.

Chico Bon Bon: Monkey with a Tool Belt

Best for: 3+ Armed with tools and engineering smarts, monkey mechanic Chico Bon Bon and his Fix-It Force help the people of Blunderberg solve all of their problems. Available May 8

Masha and the Bear, Season 4

Best for: 3+ A retired circus bear settles into the woods and prepares for a quiet new life surrounded by peace and tranquility until he is introduced to an adventurous little girl named Masha. Available May 1

Go! Go! Cory Carson: The Chrissy

Best for: 3+ The Carson kids win a talent show with a dance that Cory created. But when "The Chrissy" catches on, his sister gets all of the attention! Available May 1

Thomas & Friends: Marvelous Machinery: A New Arrival

Best for: 3+ With a technology fair on Sodor, Thomas and the Steam Team tackle a flurry of tasks but can they complete their deliveries before the grand opening? Available May 1

The Hollow, Season 2

Best for: 9+ After discovering the truth behind the Hollow, friends Adam, Mira and Kai must face their fears and tackle even bigger challenges together. Available May 8

Thomas & Friends: Marvelous Machinery: World of Tomorrow

Best for: 3+ Amid special demonstrations on Sodor, Thomas and the gang worry they'll be replaced by new inventions until a mission shows how useful they really are. Available May 1

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Season 5 

Best for: 7+ As the princesses prepare to face Horde Prime and his hive mind army in one final battle, Adora must confront her most elusive adversary yet: herself. Available May 15

Best for: 3+ An invitation from the Queen sends Thomas and the crew to London as they weave through delays and debacles while racing to a royal celebration. Available May 1

True: Terrific Tales

Best for: 3+ Through the magic of the Story Spinner, True and friends create their own versions of Pinocchio, Little Red Riding Hood and other classic fairy tales. Available May 12

Arctic Dogs

Best for: 6+ An Arctic fox works in the mailroom of a package delivery service, but wants to be doing the deliveries. Available May 4
