7 new kids' shows and movies coming to Netflix Canada in July

Every month, Netflix Canada adds family-friendly shows and movies for your kids to stream. Here's what's coming up in July.

If your kids need a break from all that hot-weather fun they’re having, then go ahead and let them have a little screen time (it’s all about moderation, right?). And if they’re bored of their old favourites, consider one of these July additions to Netflix Canada’s lineup.

Note: Age recommendations are approximate. Every kid is different—you’re the best judge of what’s appropriate and what your kid can handle.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Best for: Ages 8+
The Rebel Alliance makes a risky move to steal the plans for the Death Star, setting up the epic saga to follow. Available July 18.

When aliens attack Earth in the style of old video games, the President and his childhood pals (a pack of former arcade kings) swing into action. Note: This movie did well at the box office, was marketed to kids and is rated PG, but contains some questionable content. Available July 11.

The Worst Witch S1

Best for: Ages 8+
Mildred Hubble’s first year at Cackle’s Academy is filled with potions, spells and broomsticks—and one disaster after the next. Available July 24.

The Adventures of Puss in Boots S5

Best for: Ages 5+
With the portal to the Netherworld wide open, Puss and friends spring into action and battle a stream of monsters wreaking havoc in San Lorenzo. Available July 28.

Albion the Enchanted Stallion

After a magical horse transports her to a fantasy world ruled by an evil general, a brave girl sets out to save the land once and for all. Available July 1.

Dawn of the Croods S4

When an ailment threatens Grug’s position as valley leader, Eep fills in. A star-crossed romance forces the Croods and the Broods to call a truce. Available July 7.

Luna Petunia S2

Luna’s adventures in Amazia continue as she explores wonders like the Jelly Jungle, makes new friends and finds fun ways to learn and grow. Available July 7.

LAST CALL!
In the new, out with the old. We’re sad to report that Inside Out will be removed from Netflix Canada on July 26. Disney’s Tomorrowland will be removed July 6.
