Try making this DIY pasta necklace for a Mother's Day craft idea (or just for fun with kids)! We love the deep blue and arrow-shape of the painted and arranged penne pasta. Try experimenting with different pasta shapes and colours to create a necklace that's totally unique.
Materials:
- penne pasta
- stiffened felt
- white glue
- paintbrush
- blue paint
- string
- scissors
Directions:
1. Paint the pasta, and let dry.
2. Make a design with the pasta (ensuring that the thread can be fed through one end and out another), and glue the flat surface of it onto the stiffened felt.
3. Cut the felt around the pasta design.
4. Feed the string through and tie at one end.
