Every month, Netflix Canada adds family-friendly shows and movies for your kids to stream. Here's what's coming up in December 2017.

Hey, Netflix lovers and parents of small children! Do you want the good news, or the bad news?
The good news: Netflix Canada is adding a bunch of cool stuff to its lineup in December, like the fourth season of PAW Patrol, a couple of promising-looking Christmas specials, and the awesome NYE Countdowns for kids, a super-fun way to ring in the new year with kids).
The bad news? A certain preschool favourite that's been on Netflix for a while (and is in heavy rotation at my house) is being removed. Waaahhhh! Read on for details.
But first, a quick note: The age recommendations offered below are approximate. Every kid is different—you're the best judge of what's appropriate and what your kid can handle.
PAW Patrol (season 4) Best for: Ages 3+ Six heroic puppies led by a tech-savvy 10-year-old pull of high-stakes resume missions using humor, problem-solving skills and cool vehicles.
A StoryBots Christmas Best for: Ages 3+ Bo thinks her holiday gift-giving isn't good enough, so she heads north to study under Santa Claus—only to find he's missing. Available Dec. 1.
Photo: NetflixAll Hail King Julien (season 5) Best for: Ages 7+ Ted's alter ego Snake returns, social media comes to the jungle, Uncle King Julien tries to take over the kingdom again, and wedding bells ring. Available Dec. 1.
Home: For the Holidays Best for: Ages 4+ In this DreamWorks special, Oh takes it upon himself to introduce Christmas joy to his fellow Boovs. Unfortunately, his well-meaning mission nearly destroys the city. Available Dec. 1.
Photo: NetflixBorn in China Best for: Ages 5+ Experience life through the eyes of a giant panda and her young cub, a golden monkey, and a mother snow leopard as they traverse the wilds of China. Available Dec. 6.
Photo: NetflixPower Rangers Best for: Ages 12+ (rated PG-13) A group of high-school students, who are infused with unique superpowers, harness their abilities in order to save the world. Available Dec. 6.
Trolls Holiday Special Best for: Ages 6+ When Queen Poppy realizes that Bridget and the Bergens don’t have any holidays, she hatches a plan for Branch and the Snack Pack to help create one. Available Dec. 6.
Photo: NetflixLEGO Justice League: Gotham City Breakout Best for: Ages 6+ Superman watches over Gotham for a vacationing Batman. But familiar foes, a hot tub of horror and visitors from inner Earth soon disrupt their plans. Available Dec. 12.
Photo: NetflixFuller House (season 3, new episodes) Best for: Ages 8+ With teen romance, family barbecues, a wedding abroad and (just maybe?) a brand-new baby, it's shaping up to be the fullest summer yet. Available Dec. 22.
NYE Countdowns Best for: Ages 3+ Is it midnight yet? Who cares! Before the fireworks begin, kids can ring in the New Year with Netflix and their favorite characters from True and The Rainbow Kingdom, Pororo, Larva, Word Party, Puffin Rock, Beat Bugs, Skylanders Academy, and All Hail King Julien. Available Dec. 26 (but probably best to save it for Dec. 31!).
Photo: NetflixSAY GOODBYE... Sad news, dinosaur fans. Preschool favourite The Good Dinosaur will be removed from Netflix Canada on Dec. 7.
