10 albums for a family road trip

If you’re lucky enough to take a road trip this summer with the kids, don’t ruin it by forgetting to plan your playlist in advance. Being stuck in a car for two or three hours (or if, brave soul, you’re trekking across the country) means taking precautions to preserve your sanity. Make sure you have something other than Dora the Explorer songs banging out of the speakers.

Here are 10 suggestions for music from your own collection that kids will like too. Is your own family’s fave on the list? If not, share it with us in the comments.
