My Merrell Pace Glove barefoot running shoes on their first run – I love their fit.
Merrell Pace Glove
I’ve taken the first step towards unshod running with my new Merrell Pace Glove shoes. These lightweight, gorgeous, flexible and comfortable shoes make me so deliriously happy that I want to run for miles in them. Making the switch to barefoot shoes is a slow process and I’m trying to be as careful as possible. High five to Jason Robillard (of Barefoot Running University)
and Vanessa Runs
for inspiring me and helping with the transition.
Nuun has been my hydration go-to for years. I’ve worked up the nerve to try different flavours and banana is my current favourite — it tastes just like banana Runts candy!
Camelbak Quick Grip handheld water bottle
This 21oz handheld handheld bottle got me through the Tread Epic 6-Hour Run
. It’s a little big for my smaller hands, but the large pocket for gels and BPA-free insulated bottle make it my favourite.
Neutrogena Wet Guard sunscreen
Finding the perfect sports sunscreen is tough. I love this one by Neutrogena. It absorbs quickly and only on the most humid running days does it drip into my eyes.
Running Skirts Athletic Skirts
Cut a little longer and roomier than their running skirt, the athletic skirt with attached compression shorts do not ride up so you can focus on running, not tugging your shorts down. Two side pockets perfect for a few gels, keys or an iPod.
Body Glide Anti-Chafe Balm
Summer running means chub rub and chafing (at least for me). Rubbing a little bit of Body Glide to into trouble spots creates an invisible barrier against friction and moisture. SPF version and women-specific types are also available.
