Yea or nay?: Kingston Rossdale's blue mohawk

A lot of you had strong opinions about the bleached blond hair Gwen Stefani's son Kingston (5) has been sporting, like, from birth. So, NOW, WHAT DO YOU THINK!?

The freshly blue-mohawked Kingston is photoed here at a July 4th barbecue yesterday with the whole family, at Gwen's parents' house in Los Angeles.

Gwen looks fabulous as always in STRIPES, standing next to hubby Gavin Rossdale who's sporting his signature "man bun," as my colleague Sandra Martin likes to call it (love that!).

 

So what do you think of Kingston's new do? It's not a small deal, you know. People is reporting that Kingston went to the Warren Tricomi salon on July 2nd to do the deed.

Here's what I think, since you asked: I LOVE IT. I'm a little concerned about the chemicals on such a young little head (even though, for all we know, the dye's organic and straight from the "Hometree" on Avatar's Pandora), and I wouldn't ever let my kids do it. BUT, his parents are rock stars, so he's kind of earned the right. And that's what I'll tell my kids when they ask me if they can have a mohawk like the kid on the magazine cover. I'll say, "when your parents become major rock stars, then you can have a blue mohawk too, deal?"
