Y and R's Heather Tom is a mom!

Did you see that up there in the title? I made a rhyme: Heather Tom is a mom!

Bygones, I've got a five-year-old here with me, playing Beyblades on the floor beside me: "3, 2, 1, LET IT RIP!" So I'm feeling a bit giddy and distracted. I'm also notoriously affected by the weather. Remember this post. Yuhuh...that's what I'm talking about.

So any Young and the Restless or Bold and the Beautiful fans out there? I was an avid Young and the Restless fan for a long time, until around three or four years ago when young Colleen died and they gave the enemy, Victor Newman, her heart, and then creepy Adam stole Sharon's baby, etc., etc. I couldn't take it any more. I was a sensitive new mom, and it was all just too twisted. But that doesn't stop me from checking in on the show now and then (I can follow along, no problemo), and getting excited when I hear baby news among the cast.

And, wow, the two-time Emmy award-winning actress who played Victoria Newman for years on The Young and the Restless and now Katie Logan Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful, Heather Tom, 36, is a mom! She and her hubby, James Anchor, welcomed their first child — a boy! — last Sunday, October 28, in LA, California. And the name is....

Zane Alexander Anchor.

Love it! Baby Zane weighed in at 8 pounds, 1 ounce.

“This was the hardest and best thing that I have ever done in my life,” Heather tells People Mag about her drug-free birth. "Zane is truly amazing!" 

Heather and James have been married since September 2011. In addition to being parents to a bouncing baby boy, they are parents to the new design show Renovation Unscripted on HGTV.
