Tori Spelling had to undergo emergency surgery due to C-section complications.
Oh no! And we were having so much fun here at Celebrity Candy.
Alas, three weeks after the birth of her fourth child, Tori Spelling, 39, is in the hospital again. She had to undergo emergency surgery for complications following this fourth C-section — her second in one year (she gave birth to her third child last October).
We don't have any details on the surgery. We only know know what Tori's rep told People Magazine: "Tori underwent emergency surgery over the weekend due to complications from her C-section. She remains in the hospital and is resting comfortably."
C-sections are obviously very common, and the numbers of women opting for C-sections has been increasing rapidly. Complications are rare, but doctors for FoxNews are saying chances of complications increase with the frequency at of C-sections, as in Tori's case.
FoxNews has listed these four conditions as the most common complications related to C-sections: continuous vaginal bleeding, infectious abscess, bowel obstruction or bladder injury. According to their sources, there's no reason to think Tori's in any danger, but this could affect her fertility if, for example, she has to lose her uterus. But we'll not jump to that conclusion; she's definitely in good hands.
Tori and her husband Dean McDermott are parents to 3-week-old Finn, 11-month old Hattie, Stella, 4, and Liam, 5. We wish her a safe and full recovery.
Love...
