Selma Blair on the challenge of balancing work and single motherhood

Check out Selma Blair, 40, enjoying a sweet moment in the park with her son, 18-month-old Arthur Saint. 

The Anger Management star recently opened up about the challenge of balancing motherhood and her work — Anger Management (costarring Charlie Sheen) was just renewed for another year — especially since she split with Arthur's father, Jason Bleick.

Selma told TV Week that she's been feeling overwhelmed as a working single mom. "Somehow I was just hanging on," she said. "But then it caught up with me — totally — and, since then, I’ve just fallen apart. 'I need to get myself back together so I can go back to work so I can pay for a house for this baby.'"

Granted this is Hollywood.... But I like Selma's raw honesty. I guess, even though we see celebs as having the benefit of first-rate resources at their fingertips, it's all relative. It's overwhelming trying to be the best parents we can be in this busy, fast-paced world.
